PARIS

          Paris is the capital city of France and the center of French commerce, financial and industry, and also one of the richest cities in the world. Paris is located on both banks of the Seine River, about 90 miles from the English Channel. The highest land area is Montmartre, a famous hill in the northern section of Paris.

          There are many historical buildings and monuments in Paris. Some of them are magnificent Gothic Cathedral of Notre Dame, Hotel des Invalides which houses Napoleon’s tomb, The Grand Opera House, The Avenue des Champs Elysees, Arch de Triomphe, The celebrated Eiffel Tower, and Louvre Museum which houses art works of famous artist such as Leonardo da Vinci with his “ Monalisa ”. Eiffel Tower was named after its designer, engineer  Gustave Eiffel. It was built in 1889 and it was the tallest building in the world until 1930. It is 1063 feet including the antenna. The Eiffel Tower has been used as transmission tower for FM and TV since 1957.

           Paris is famous for its products like perfume, cosmetic,fashion, and leather goods. Paris has become the center of the world’s fashion and mode. There are many designers live there. There are about 3.500.000 people living in this metropolitan area. They love fashion , they are polite, and warm. The men are romantic and the women are beautiful and fashionable.

JOKO WIDODO

Joko Widodo is one of Indonesian politican who was the governor of Jakarta and now becomes the elected president of Indonesia. He was born on June 21^st 1961. He is universally known as Jokowi, the abbreviation of his full name.

          Before Jokowi become the governor of Jakarta, he had become the mayor of Solo. His vice governor was Basuki Tjahaja Purnama who is usually known as Ahok. Now, he was the elected president of Indonesia who will rule Indonesia with his vice elected president, Jusuf Kalla. He won 53% vote at the election from his rival, Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa on July 22^nd 2014. He will be declared as Indonesian’s president on October 2014

          Many people have chosen him because they want a real change that leads to better goverment. They are tired with the old goverment. They like Jokowi because he pays more attention to little people.
